What is a Plastic Screw Rivet? 

Plastic scrivets or Plastic Rivets Screws are mechanical fasteners used in many industrial and domestic applications. It’a two-pieces fastening device: a cylindrical nylon shank and a screw. The principle of operation of the nylon screw rivet is simple. The cylindrical shank is inserted into the pre-drilled holes in the parts to be assembled. No need for a riveter, pneumatic rivet gun, or any kind of riveting machine. A simple hand-tool will suffice. The screw is then screwed into the nylon rod until it is tight. As the screw is tightened, on the other side, the nylon rod deforms and locks between the two parts, ensuring a strong, tightly fastened, durable joint.
