What is a Double Cap Rivet

A 10mm double cap rivet, also known as a double head rivet, is a mechanical fastener widely used in industry for assembling parts. It consists of two parts. A male part with a solid cylindrical nylon shank, and a hollow female part which receives the shank. Both parts have flat heads for an aesthetic finish. The assembly process involves clipping the two parts together. On one side, the male part of the rivet, in the middle the parts to be assembled, and finally the female part. The rivet is simply pressed into place. No need for riveting pliers, pneumatic pliers or any kind of riveting gun.
